Painted Past

I thought I’d share some of the painting work I used to do. When I finally decided to go “full-time freelance” as a professional production Make-up artist/Hair Stylist, I knew I’d need supplemental income for the transition and besides, I needed the diversity. I had previously worked on and off in hair salons (and other survival jobs) and found the everyday, same place, same time option making me miserable. I loved helping people and being creative everyday, but the salon world just wasn’t for me. I knew I needed to be my own boss. I always loved painting walls: using color and design to create personal flair. Since house painting wasn’t very regulated and anyone could hang a shingle and do it, I decided it would be something I could make a living at! So, I jumped in and just did it! It served me well for the five years I owned the business. Here are some pictures of the work I did. Click on them to make them a fuller size and easier to see!
