With over twenty years experience as a make-up artist for television, HD, film, print and video, Joell’s professionalism, skill and low profile on set help put the client, talent and crew confident and at ease. Her team work attitude and no nonsense approach helps keep projects on time during tight schedules and she always keeps a keen eye on necessary touch-ups and tweaks.
Using a light hand, Joell specializes in creating a natural look for all ethnicities. She not only has the ability to make real people and talent look their best on camera, but also to feel comfortable with the process and confident with their new appearance, all the while maintaining a high standard of sanitary practices.
An equally experienced licensed cosmetologist and hairstylist, Joell can create and change hairstyles quickly, always understanding the demands of greenscreen, backlighting and time. When requested or required Joell can also provide glamour and period work and always carries an airbrush for applicable situations.
Wig design and styling, specialty nails, high coverage make-up and some special effects are available with notice. She is always ready to assist with wardrobe when needed and carries an iron, a small ironing board, a sewing kit and double sided tape in her kit. A full size steamer is available upon request. Joell has a list of colleagues to call upon as 2nds or assistants. On smaller shoots, Joell is able to wear multiple hats and can assist with props, set dressing, continuity, script etc. She is also an experienced actor and singer and is available for on-camera work, voice overs and jingles.
